Website terms and how our terms of business work

The first part of this page covers your use of this website. The second part explains, in plain words, how our terms of business work when we find staff for a care service or find work for a care worker. The written terms we send you before any work starts are the ones that apply to that work.

Using this website

  1. Website use. This website is run by Care Recruitment, 30 High St, Thornton Heath CR7 8LE. Using the site means you agree to these terms, so if they do not suit you, the best thing is to stop using it.
  2. Accuracy. We try to keep the information here accurate and up to date. Rules about pay, checks and registration change from time to time, so check the official source before you rely on a detail for a decision about your service or your job.
  3. Photographs. The photographs on this site are licensed stock images. They do not show our workers, our clients or the people they support.
  4. Links. This site links to Google Maps to show where our office is. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
  5. Nothing here is an offer. Nothing on this site is an offer of work or a promise of staff. We introduce or supply people only under written terms agreed before the work starts.
  6. Liability. We are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the general information on this site. These terms leave untouched any liability the law says we cannot exclude, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
  7. Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute about them.

How our terms of business work

For care providers

  • Before we introduce or supply anyone to your service, we send you our terms of business and agree them with you in writing. In Northern Ireland the conduct regulations require this of an employment business. In England, Scotland and Wales it is our standard practice.
  • The terms say whether we are acting as an employment agency (finding someone for your own payroll) or an employment business (supplying a temporary worker whom we pay).
  • They set out the charge rate or fee, how and when we invoice, how to cancel a booking, and what happens if a worker is not right for your service.
  • If a temporary worker later joins your staff, the terms say whether a transfer fee applies. The law only allows one if you can choose a longer period of hire instead, and not once the relevant period after the worker’s assignment has passed.

For care workers and other work-seekers

  • Before we offer you any work, we agree terms with you in writing. They say whether we are finding you a permanent job or supplying you for temporary work, and for temporary work, how and when you are paid. For temporary work you also receive a key information document first, as the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 call for.
  • We never charge you a fee for finding you work.
  • Before each temporary assignment we tell you who you will be working for, where, the hours, the type of work and the rate of pay.
